  • CFD Simulation of a Cyclone Separator

Description:

CFD simulation of a cyclone separator analyzes the flow dynamics, pressure drops, and particle separation efficiency to optimize design and performance. In this case, a cyclone separator is used to separate particles based on their density, applied for the first time to recover lithium iron phosphat

e (LFP) from spent lithium battery materials. The impact of the flow field on the movement of injected particles in the cyclone separator is analyzed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The findings reveal a classification effect driven by particle density differences, and the separation process is simulated accordingly.
