About Panok ship (Panokseon) 3D model

×

3D model of the Panok ship (Panokseon) for rendering and simulation projects. The Panokseon (판옥선), meaning "board roofed" or "superstructured" ship, was a Korean warship during 16th century. The Panokseon's design featured a length of 100-120 feet and width of 30-40 feet, with a flat-bottomed hull made of sturdy pine wood. Its unique features included multiple decks for protection and tactical advantage, a central command tower, and innovative construction using pine for the hull and oak for pegs and masts. Notably, bamboo pegs were used instead of iron nails, improving water absorption and hull integrity.
