A fixed-wing drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that uses wings to generate lift, much like a traditional airplane. Unlike rotary-wing drones (such as quadcopters) that rely on propellers to stay aloft, fixed-wing drones achieve flight by moving forward through the air, with lift coming from the aerodynamic shape of the wings.
