About the Car Wheel Structural Analysis Using FEA Project
In this project structural analysis of another car wheel design is performed using ANSYS Workbench. A load (force) of 18KN is applied on the outer surface of the rim. The pitch circle holes are assigned a fixed support boundary condition. Aluminium alloy is set as material of the wheel. The maximum deformation of 0.13 mm was predicted and max equivalent stress of 48 MPa was observed in this analysis. ANSYS Mechanical simulation file is also included for download. This is another awesome wheel CAD model provided by Zeeshan Saleem (https://www.fetchcfd.com/profile/zeeshan03saleem). Check out "Refetch of" below for more details on original CAD project.
