About the Design of Minimum Length Supersonic Nozzle based on Method of Characteristics Project
To achieve a uniform flow (shock free) at the exit of the supersonic nozzle, the contour of the nozzle is designed based on the method of characteristics (MOC) to have no wave reflection at the wall. This is a test of the MOC code that I wrote in C++. MOC code generates the coordinates required for the design of the nozzle contour. Here I attached the design of the nozzle created in Ansys Spaceclaim based on the MOC code for the exit mach number of 2. The coordinate file contains the normalized values of x and y coordinates (need to be scaled) of the nozzle contour.
