About the Mouth-throat CAD Model Project
Mouth-throat geometry stl file attached for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of airflows in the extra-thoracic and upper airways. This STL file is based on patient-specific geometry derived from a healthy adult’s computed tomography (CT) scan. The stl geometry used here is adapted from the work of: Eliram Nof, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Pantelis Koullapis, Ron Bessler, Stavros Kassinos, Josué Sznitman in the article titled '[In vitro–in silico correlation of three-dimensional turbulent flows in an idealized mouth-throat model]' published in the journal [PLOS Computational Biology].
