About the Elmer: An Open Source Multiphysics Simulation Code Project
Elmer licensed under GPL except for the ElmerSolver library which is licensed under LGPL license is an open source simulation code. It includes fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, electromagnetics, heat transfer and acoustics models which are solved by the finite element method (FEM). User defined equations can also be linked dynamically to the solver. Mostly developed by CSC - IT Center for Science (https://www.csc.fi/). Source/Reference: http://www.elmerfem.org.
