Sloshing Tank Simulation with 6 DOF
Simulation of sloshing tank with 6 degrees of freedom using OpenFOAM interDyMFoam. InterDyMFoam is an interface tracking VOF (volume of fluid) phase-fraction based solver with dynamic mesh refinement capabilities (comes in handy when sharper interfaces are required). InterDymFoam is basically interFoam plus mesh modification. OpenFOAM simulation files are attached for download.

You are welcome, Robert. Yes as the size of the complete simulation was too big therefore I have skipped some timesteps deliberately to keep the size of the uploaded files small.

finaly i had some time to actualy try out your model case. Unfortunately i got an error popped up. It says:
--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:

staticFvMesh) ............i think it is because you created this case for an older version of open foam? I am currently running oF7 from open foam.org
if i try to use the solver you had in mind it says:
" interDyMFoam
The dynamic mesh functionality in interDyMFoam has been merged into interFoam
and the interDyMFoam tutorials moved into the interFoam tutorials directory"
can you may offer an advise, how i eventually "slove" this problem?

Hi Robert, Yes I think version I used was 2.0. It will be difficult to tell without access to OF ver. 7. Based on above mentioned information, it seems Dynamic Mesh code requires some tweaking to work.
