Simulation of Spark-Ignition Engine using OpenFOAM
Numerical simulation of spark-ignition engine is performed using OpenFOAM's engineFOAM. Different crank angle movements from -180 to 60 are tracked. For turbulence k-Epsilon model is used. Hi, is it possible to do the same without kiva input files? Is the analysis depenant on the kiva input? Sorry if my questions are stupid, I'm interested in learning openfoam and tried meshing, icofoam, simplefoam and firefoam without a problem. However, I'm unable to figure out this enginefoam solver. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Buddima, you should be able to use engineFOAM for other compatible meshes as well.

Hi Atif, thank you for the kind reply. I tried to download the project files and run it on my computer. First I cleaned the case using the ./Allclean function and removed all the results and log files. However, upon executing the ./Allrun command, I didn't get the results files. only the -180 case folder remains. Can you please let me know how those results files are generated. Thank you in advance.

Hi guys! I can't seem to extract the files from the .rar file. Do you have it uploaded somwhere else? Also, have you made the simulation with transport xi model or algebraic? Because I can't make the algebraic one work. Thanks!

Hi Sebastian, rar file has two parts you need to unrar them in right order to be able to extract the files. This one is done with transport xi model.
