CFD Simulation of a Race Car Model
Steady-state aerodynamics analysis of a race car using Ansys Fluent. Geometry is cleaned up and prepared in Ansys SpaceClaim. Ansys Fluent Mesher is used to discretize the computational domain into a coarse mesh of 415k cells. Rotating wall boundary conditions are applied to the wheels and translational moving wall boundary condition is applied to the ground. k-Omega SST turbulence model is used. Courtesy: Original race car model was created by Matteo Pellizzoni (https://grabcad.com/library/racing-car-for-cfd-training).
