About the VOF Multiphase Simulation of Water Discharge Through an Orifice Project
Transient case of discharge of water from a tank through an orifice is carried out in Ansys Fluent. For this problem, the Volume of Fluid approach of the multiphase model is selected. Initially, the tank is filled with water (secondary phase) and the primary phase is air. At the bottom of the tank, an orifice is created through which the water is discharged. The tank has a diameter of 15 cm with a depth of 25 cm. The diameter of the tank orifice is 2 cm. The geometry is created in Design Modeler and the tank is discretized into 60750 hex-dominant cells.
