About the Vortex Shedding around a 2D Cylinder in OpenFOAM Project
Transient simulation of incompressible flow over a two-dimensional cylinder is performed in OpenFOAM with pisoFoam solver. The computational domain consists of a cylinder with a radius of 0.5m. The velocity inlet boundary is located at 11.5m and the pressure outlet boundary is 20m from the origin. Cylinder walls and the domain walls are treated with no-slip boundary conditions. At Reynolds Number 100, the transient simulation is carried out to visualize the Karman vortex street.
