About the Soyuz Spacecraft CFD Analysis Project
CFD analysis is commonly used to simulate spacecraft under different conditions involving air, pressure and thermal interactions. The CFD analysis assists in making design decisions. This project is about CFD analysis of supersonic flow around Soyuz Spacecraft. Soyuz (saw-yooz) is a Russian spacecraft. A Soyuz spacecraft consists of three parts (from front to back) namely spheroid orbital module (for crew accommodation during mission), reentry module (for crew return) and service module (contains the instruments and engines). In this project only reentry module of Soyuz spacecraft is simulated. Mach number 2.9 (1000m/s). For turbulence modeling SST model used. Mesh consists of around 3.7 million elements. CFD tool used here is ANSYS CFX. Check out the 'Refetch of...' below for Mesh and 3D model of this project. Don't forget to share and like ๐ it. Enjoy!!
