About the Multiphysics model illustrating the handshake between the ABM and CFD Project
The coordinates of the inner arterial layer from ABM (left) is sent to COMSOL to perform CFD analysis (right). The instantaneous WSS from CFD is sent back to ABM and influences leukocyte TEM. The images and data used here are adapted from the work of: Rita Bhui, Heather N. Hayenga in the article titled '[An agent-based model of leukocyte transendothelial migration during atherogenesis]' published in the journal [PLOS Computational Biology]. The source of the these can be found at [Link to the Source: https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pcbi.1005523.g004] .
