About the Football Free Kick Analysis Using CFD Project
CFD simulations are conducted using 3D model of football. The ball has a diameter (d) of 0.18 meters. To model flow turbulence, the SAS SST model is employed, which introduces a von Karman length scale into the turbulence scale equation. This feature enables SAS to exhibit results resembling LES in certain flow scenarios. The SAS simulations run with a time step of 5e-3 seconds, spanning a total of 0.82 seconds. The ball's rotation is set to 5 rev/s and is achieved using the Immersed Solid method in ANSYS CFX. And let air velocity is set to 26.8 m/s. More details coming soon... Stay tuned!!!
