About the CFD analysis of a Container ship Project
CFD study of a scaled-down model of a 1900 TEU container ship under various conditions. Attached images showing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of the ship’s superstructure at different wind angles during full-load operations to determine wind-load coefficients , wave resistance of the model sans superstructure under varying wave conditions, and combined wind–wave resistance under head waves coupled with fluctuating wind. The images, and data used here are adapted from the work of: Wang W, Wu T, Zhao D, Guo C, Luo W, Pang Y (2019) in the article titled 'Experimental–numerical analysis of added resistance to container ships under presence of wind–wave loads' published in the journal PLoS ONE.
