About the Two-Fluid Bubble Expansion CFD Simulation Project
A two-fluid compressible CFD simulation test case demonstrating high-pressure bubble expansion, interface capturing, and symmetric wave propagation ran in NumericalAI (https://numericalai.net/). The flow is initially at rest. Interface capturing is performed using fifth-order Interface Gradient Reconstruction (IGR) with elliptic smoothing enabled. The pressure jump drives radial expansion of the bubble, generating symmetric pressure waves and velocity fields. The results demonstrate stable interface evolution, good symmetry preservation, and clean separation of the two fluids.
