About the Human Trachea CFD Analysis Project
CFD simulation of airflow through a patient-specific human trachea/bronchial airway model with bronchitis-related geometry. Air was modeled as incompressible at 25°C, with a tracheal inlet diameter of approximately 17 mm. Two inhalation cases were evaluated: quiet breathing at 0.625 m/s and heavy breathing at 4.41 m/s. Results show pressure distribution, airflow streamlines, local acceleration through narrowed regions, and wall shear stress hotspots near bifurcations and branch constrictions.
