About the Simplified Siwek Project
Siwek chamber is used to evaluate the combustibility of (coal) dust particles. In this tutorial from OpenFOAM coal combustion in a simplified Siwek chamber is simulated using coalChemistryFoam solver. CoalChemistryFoam solver is a transient combustion solver for simulating turbulent, compressible flow, with coal and limestone particle clouds and an energy source term. The particles are introduced into the domain on specified locations via the constant/coalCloud1Positions and constant/limestonePositions files.
