About the Bubble Column CFD Simulation: Turbulence Model Comparison Project
3D time dependent numerical study has been performed to predict the flow hydrodynamics in bubble columns by employing explicit algebraic Reynolds stress (EARSM), EARSM combined with bubble induced turbulence (BIT), EARSM coupled with baseline model (EASRM-BSL) and re-normalization group (RNG) models. A total of 46,080 cells are used. Total time of simulation is 200 s with time step size of 0.005 s. CFD results are comprised of the Euler–Euler method of ANSYS CFX. Here bubbles are not individually considered, rather the dispersed phase is ensemble averaged.
