Simulation of an asteroid
Simulation of an asteroid entering the earth's atomosphere is performed employing ANSYS CFX. It is observed that asteroid traveling at Mach 5.5 (hypersonic flow), caused aerodynamic heating and attained a surface temperature of more than 1700 °C.
