About the Vigo GP Formula 4 Racing Car (Tatuus-Abarth), CFD Visualization in Augmented Reality on the real scale car Project
CFD Analysis in Augmented Reality of the F4 Tatuus-Abarth 2014 Racing Car. The CFD simulation is performed with the CFD Software Cradle-CFD and rendered in Paraview. Vuforia and Unity3D are used to deploy the .apk App for Android smart devices. (specifics of the car included in the .pdf file and available at http://www.f4championship.com/pdf/F.4ITALY_TATUUS2014.pdf). The car will race in Imola (Italy) on September 10th and in Monza (Italy) on September 24th 2017. Our aim is to convey numerical computing results in a more immediate and comprehensive way to a non-numerical audience (technicians, managers and drivers) using Augmented Reality. We (Dr. Mattia Olivero from KiteGroup Engineering and I) performed a RANS k-omega simulation at 200km/hr. KiteGroup Engineering also provides to download the STL file of the racing car (see attachments). Instructions on how to install the .apk for Android smart devices are provided in the readme.txt file. Download and print the Vuforia Tarmac .jpg to visualize the AR hologram.
