About the Wing Motion 2D Project
Pitch (upward and downward movement of wing nose) and heave (linear vertical up/down) motion of the wing is simulated in 2D using OpenFOAM's dynamic mesh solver. This is an example/tutorial from OpenFOAM test cases. Dynamic mesh solver is used to model flows where the shape of the domain is changing with time due to motion on the domain boundaries. Simulation files for this case are also attached for download. For CAD model download refer to the Refetch below.
